Suntree Country Club’s courses, The Classic and The Challenge are associated with the greatest names in golf. A legion of legends has set foot on this renowned green-- World Golf Hall of Fame member, Arnold Palmer designed the Challenge Course, the Senior PGA Tour took place on the Classic Course from 1980-1990, and in keeping with harboring the golf greats, Suntree Country Club secured former PGA Tour player, Steve Lamontagne as their Director of Golf to oversee their golf operation. In his fourth year as Director of Golf at Suntree Country Club, Steve, a long-time resident of the club, says, “It’s home for me.” Since coming onboard with Suntree Country Club, Steve has found that he enjoys the private-club atmosphere most, noting a difference between private and semi-private clubs he has belonged to in the past. While the skillfully designed courses provide a challenging green well-suited for the pros, the courses accommodate a varied level of player with different tee box locations. Players in need of golf accoutrements can find a wide variety in the Golf Shop which carries brand-name clothing lines like, Ashworth, Cutter & Buck, EP Pro, and Tail Golf, and golf clubs by Titleist, Callaway, Cobra, Mizuno, Cleveland…
